Week #6, Exercise #15 Tagging, Folksonomies

I learned that library 2.0 is used to describe new concepts to develop & deliver services in the library. Services are more user-centric and bottom line is the use of technology. That's why I am excited about this training because of the knowledge that I have obtained so far. For sure libraries won't be the same five years from now. The perspective of "Into a new world of librarianship" Now I understand that libraries are humans because it is the social and emotional engage center of learning & experience. Librarians plan with users & staff, keep up with technology, but not just to be with the in-thing but to benefit the users. The librarian embraces web tools and looks for future services. In this perspective the main goal of a librarian is to provide the best library services. Library 2.0 means to involved technology when providing library services. Library 2.0 for school libraries is for the students to have the knowledge to do research and learning new information with the use of technology.
